Make food. Not waste.
We cook to create joy, connection, and unforgettable meals. We use the Mill food recycler to create no waste at all.

Skip a month of garbage days.
It never smells. It can handle the aftermath of a turkey dinner. The Mill food recycler is sleek, sculptural, and ready to change your kitchen forever.
Effortless. Odorless. Fully automated.

Add almost anything
1
Mill tackles almost any food scraps, from turkey bones to avocado pits. It can cut garbage output in half, saving countless trips to the curb.

Mill works overnight
2
You don’t even have to press a button — Mill knows how much you add, and runs efficiently and quietly while you sleep.

Keep filling it for weeks
3
Mill reduces your food’s volume by 80%. And its state-of-the-art odor filtration means it never smells, even in smaller spaces.

Feed farms or gardens
4
Mill is the only food recycler that can get your food back to a farm. Or you can give your grounds to local composters or gardens.
New Yorkers love Mill
I live in a third floor walk-up so taking out the trash less often is great.
Lizzie, NYC
Mill has a remarkable way of gently nudging me towards a more mindful approach to food.
Corey, NYC
As someone struggling to compost in NYC, Mill has removed all the core issues: smell, pests, pileup (the anxiety I'd get from melon leftovers!).
Justina, NYC
Living in a NYC apartment, I don’t need to take the trash out nearly as much because I’m not filling it up as quickly.
Hannah, NYC
I’m in love with Mill! We live in NYC and have been struggling to find a compost alternative and this is it. Love the zero smell, the design, and the ease of use.
Chelsea, NYC
Back to the land — without crossing the river
Mill makes nutrient-rich Food Grounds that can support gardens, farms, and communities. Here are just a few of the ways.

Bring your grounds to a neighborhood LESEC dropoff and help feed NY farms and gardens.

Add pickups with Groundcycle, and receive a farm box from local regenerative farms.

Drop your grounds in your curbside compost bin, available citywide beginning October 6th.

Add Mill Pickups and we’ll get your grounds to one of our small-farm partners.
The wonderful feeling
of wasting nothing
Ask anyone who’s lived with it: Mill makes you feel good. Because you’re not putting garbage into the world. Because it makes hosting and cleanup feel effortless. Because you’re not wasting food — or time.
