Mill is honored to be featured in the new documentary series, “What’s Next? The Future with Bill Gates,” in the “Can We Stop Global Warming?” episode out today on Netflix. 

Bill Gates has been working on ways to mitigate a climate crisis through the groundbreaking efforts of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Breakthrough Energy, and the new Netflix series highlights real solutions that are making an impact on the planet. 

Mill is the only featured company working to combat food waste with a simple, easy solution people can use in their kitchen at home. Most people don’t know that food waste and agriculture are a major source of harmful methane emissions.

The episode featured interviews with Mill Cofounder and CEO Matt Rogers and Mill Head of Product Design Engineering, Emma Bright. In the episode, Matt Rogers highlights how Mill makes reducing food waste simple and takes you on a never-before-seen look at how we process food grounds before they head to farms. It’s an inspiring look at our mission and a powerful recognition of the big impact we’re making together.

Mill is highlighted alongside other climate pioneers such as Brimstone Concrete and the youth plaintiffs in Held v. Montana, which marked the first time a U.S. court declared a government’s constitutional duty to protect people from climate change.
